Life made easy with my Airtel APP

I am a regular user of the services offered by Airtel. So far I am and claim to be a most satisfied user of Airtel. This brand offers services which are easy to manage and quite reliable. I would not think of switching to another brand. Airtel has earned a name for itself and many users repose their faith in this brand.
Now Airtel has come out with an App for the mobile and is known as my airtel app. This app is the simplest way to manage all your airtel services through your handset. For this you have to simply download the App and all your recharge problems are over. It is not only easy to use but you can also get amazing offers when you recharge. Cash back, Free Data and Full talk time can be yours. When you recharge you get ‘Airtel Surprises' or coupons with every recharge that you do. One can redeem these coupons across various categories like shopping, food, wellness and entertainment. The coupons are being offered by popular brands like the PVR Cinemas, CafĂ© Coffee Day, Flipkart, Amazon, Ebay, Myntra.com, Archie’s and VLCC, among others.

Time is an important entity and with this App I will manage to save my most frequent tasks on home screen as short cuts under "I want to" tab. I can also make short cuts of all the Bill payments to be paid, the recharges required, I can also buy the packs I require and above all I can also Record a program. This is not all I can also order the games I wish to acquire. The other facilities are like now I can view the balance that I have and know about the details of the data that has been consumed so far by me. I need not worry as to when I had the last recharge done as I can also check the recharge history.

Security is another feature that makes this APP just the right thing for me. It has a PCIDSS certification so I need not worry about the issue of security when I recharge my mobile or DTH and paying my postpaid or fixed line bills is now made easy with this APP. I can now also store the card details which helps me in having a faster checkout process. The interface is friendly and intuitive. It helps me to do real time bill tracking and above all gives me a personalized user experience.

There is a lot more that I can do. I can now enjoy a host of other services like Add or Remove Airtel Services.

I can also explore Wynk / One Touch Internet/ Airtel Live

I will get alerts on my mobile when my balance is low, or low data, bill payments and the due dates. Life for me has been made much easier and tension free.

EkNayiLeague starring Kapil Dev

Kapil Dev is a Sports person Par excellence who has brought great laurels to our country. This time he is coming up with a #EkNayiLeague that promises to be a TV show packed with entertainmet, entertainment and more entertainment that is the first impression I get looking at all the Kapil Dev video's that are doing the rounds.  Thinking of Kapil Dev the first image that comes to mind is that of him standing with the Indian cricket team holding the 1983 world cup trophy.Since he has been an extra ordinary player so when he talks about a new league #EkNayiLeague I would expect nothing but the best from this  league. It would have people from all walks of life who have excelled in their chosen field. It would bring celebrities and heroes on the same platform and since so many people who are excelling in their fields would come together then they would be pitted against each other in a competition. A competition we have here where they have to play hard and play smart. Use their minds and come up trumps. If they  take it easy or give into the charm of the celebrities who are in the opposite teams or take it easy then they would lose the game. Looking at the promos I feel the focus of the league is going to excel by virtue of mental toughness and a good mind body co-ordination. As it was a dream moment to watch the Indian team lift the world cup thanks to the valiant efforts of the Indian team led by Kapil Dev
It was a dream moment that lit up the hearts of millions of people around the country. He captured the imagination of the people so much so is that every time he picked up the ball people expected that he would take a wicket and every time he went to bat everyone believed that he would win the match for the country. Now that Kapil Dev is starting a new league it is bound to ignite a lot of speculation. It is already a trending topic on twitter and everyone is talking about it and waiting in anticipation as to what would be the outcome of his new league that Kapil Dev is so excitedly talking about.
Looking at the promos I see him ralking about filmstars like Dev Anand, Cricketers like Mahindra Sigh Dhoni, Yuvraj Singh and tennis stars like Sania Mirza. He also talks about television stars like Kapil Sharma of Comedy Nights with Kapil. Is this an indication of the fields from which the celebrities would be drawn to form the league? Its anybody's guess. If the new league brings celebrities from the fields of sports that to varied sports apart from cricket. TV stars and stand up comedians and cine stars then it would be a coup of sorts that would increase the entertainment quotient of the league many folds. I am sure that with with Kapil Dev at the helm of affairs. the sporting spirit would come up as the winner irrespective of the sport that they play or and an event that the league is a part of. Since I find Kapil Dev talking about and using the phrase "Dil Se Kheloge to hit wicket/Googly" so I can easily assume that there would be an event where people compete as individuals or as a team.  As of now all this is mere speculation and I am sure that what ever is the final outcome in terms of the show, event or a tournament the league would come out to be different, refreshing and packed with a lot of entertainment value in this #EkNayiLeague

Time of togetherness with my mother that healed my body and soul

Life makes us go through unexpected experiences. When I was in college I got bitten by the love bug. I was young and naive. In the meanwhile my family arranged my marriage with a boy of their choice. I did not have the courage to tell them the truth. So I eloped with my boyfriend and got married to him in the court. Due to my eloping with a boy of another caste my family faced rebuke and humiliation and under pressure of society they disowned me. Even my husband’s  parents did accept me as their daughter in law and as a result me and my husband had to rent a house and started living in it.All though I was happy with my husband but I missed my parents immensely. The fact that I had hurt the feelings of my parents and especially that of my mother caused me a lot of stress and mental agony. However I could not muster up the courage to go back to her. My husband wanted to get a better job so that he could support his family. He got a job in the gulf. He promised that either he would come back in a few months or call me. A few days after he left I slipped and hurt myself badly. My husband could not leave everything and come back to attend to me. I was in so much pain that I could hardly move. I saw my entire life flash in front of my eyes. I remembered how my mother and my father used to take care of me. How my father used to take me for a joy ride on his scooter. The cool air hitting my face used to give me the feel of ultimate freedom. When I used to come back from school my mother used to serve my favorite dish to me which she used to so lovingly make for me. When my pain became unbearable one of my neighbors  telephoned my mother to inform her that I had hurt myself and needed her help. I had little hope of getting any help from my mother as she had vowed never to see my face as I had eloped and married against her wishes. Yet within a short time I found her in front of me She held me in her arms and I wept uncontrollably. She took care of every need of mine and nursed me back to health. Being once again together with my mother relieved my pain to a great deal. This injury of mine had came as a blessing in disguise. Initially my mother took care of me but would not talk to me however the balm of togetherness worked its magic and when I asked for forgiveness she lovingly hugged me. Those days that my mother lived with me are the most precious and treasured days of my life. I have realized the value of togetherness and vowed never to hurt the feelings of my family again. Now we are again #together and happier than we ever were

Winning with Hope and Optimism

Hope and optimism are infectious and can bring in a spark of change
that can brighten our future. I have noticed and experienced  such an
inspiration moment that has left a deep life changing positive
influences on my psyche. I was an avid swimmer in school who took part
in various swimming competitions and had brought laurels to my school.
Just after my board exams I slipped and fractured my toe and
dislocated my ankle so I was confined to the bed. My swimming practice
took a beating. This was a very serious issue for me. As I needed to
swim well for clearing the swimming trials for my college admission.
Otherwise I would have to settle for a correspondence course. With a
broken foot I was in excruciating pain and the prospects of my taking
part in the swimming admission trials looked bleak. This  sounded like
a death knell for my career prospects as without clearing the trials
no good college would give me admission in the sports  quota.
So as soon as I began to move and walk with the help of crutches I
headed to the swimming pool. All along the way I was cursing my bad
luck and misfortune for having a broken foot. The injury had made me
very irritable and depressed causing my spirits to be very low.
Although I was not an ace swimmer but I could boast of some masterful
breast strokes and loved swimming. I had been introduced to the world
of swimming by my father who had taken me to a nearby swimming pool
during my vacations when I was quite young and still in school. My
father taught me the basics of swimming and helped me in my initiation
to swimming and sports. My father was my hero and I looked upon him
with great respect and awe. Now he became not only my hero but also my
friend and guide. This special bonding with my father made me look up to
him and I always wanted to live up to his expectations and not
disappoint him in any way. Proving myself at the college swimming
trials would have been the golden opportunity for doing so. When I
reached the pool I saw others swimming and practicing their strokes.
At first I was a bit apprehensive but then I gathered my nerves
together and told myself that I can do better as I always thought of
myself as a naturally gifted swimmer. As soon as I stepped into the
pool the familiar feel of the water made me forget my apprehension and
pain and with powerful strokes I started to cover the length of the
pool. Then I felt someone swim past me with a lot of gusto and speed.
I had taken only a few strokes and this person had already reached the
other end of the pool. I thought this must be a big champion. When I
looked in the direction of this person I was surprised to see a  short
girl pulling out of the water and when our eyes met she had the smile
of a winner and why not, she had defeated me. Then my eyes fell on her
hand which had a big scary scar mark and a thumb was missing. Further
I noticed that she had only one leg. By this time I had reached her
end of the pool and tried to pull my myself out of the pool with great
difficulty.  Seeing me in discomfort and pain she smilingly extended
her hand to give me support. I was stunned by this gesture by this
complete stranger specially since she had a missing limb. Upon coming
out of the pool she introduced herself to me. Seeing the expression of
disbelief she told me her story as to how while swimming in a river a
crocodile had attacked her and chewed away her foot and thumb. Due to
this accident she had been left with only one foot and lost one thumb..
Yet I found her to be so full of life , hope and optimism. That chance
encounter in turn filled me with hope and optimism for the future. It
taught me to be happy and not crib about what I have lost. This way I
could focus my energy and talents to succeed and achieve my goals in the
future.Needless to say this new found hope and optimism gave me success at the trials and I was selected and got admission to the college of my choice

A bold step for a new Life

As a girl I got a protected life from my mother and father who tended to my every need and before I could even ask for anything my wishes would be fulfilled. This was the life that I lived till I entered college.
College life also involves growth and expression of oneself as an individual and for the first time I thought of establishing myself as an independent person.
At college my professors encouraged me to come out of my shell and explore other aspects of college life be it social work, dramatics, dancing, singing, debating or other cultural and co-curricular activities. I was initially hesitant and apprehensive but slowly felt confident as I began to perform well in various activities. Even though I enjoyed all the events but singing and dramatics were my favorite.  By the time I passed out of college I had become an important member of the dramatics society and had taken part in numerous plays. When I passed out of college my parents started looking for a suitable groom for me. In the meantime I got an offer to teach dramatics at a school in another city. The offer was lucrative and very enticing however till now I had always lived in the protection and guidance of my parents so how could I go? That too alone. As both my parents had full time jobs neither could they quit their jobs for me nor could they take a long leave to accompany and stay with me in another city. However the prospects of being on my own and exploring a new life tempted me. Despite my parents reluctance I accepted the teaching assignment. My parents felt that as there were no relatives and friends in that new city so where would I live? On the other hand this uncertainty excited me. Since it was my life and I had two options. One was to get married to a boy of my parents choice and on the other was an option to live and explore a life of freedom. I chose the latter option and decided to #StartANewLife of my own. However to soothe my parents already frayed nerves I searched on an online portal for a suitable accommodation. With so many options of properties which were close to my place of work I was spoiled for choice. I showed my parents the pictures of the houses available on rent and this pacified my parents greatly. I shortlisted two houses and with the help of the website finalized the deal for one of the properties. Then packing my bags I embarked on the first solo journey to what would be my home. A house that would bear my name and all the letters addressed to me would be delivered to me without the use of "daughter of " before my name as has been the case till now. From birthday cards to mark sheets all the correspondences that came to me had my  fathers name before mine and  my only identity was that of his daughter. Now that was about to change.
Now I live in my own house which bears my name. When my parents come and stay with me people address them as my parents and this makes me so proud that finally I have broken out of their shadow and my bold move has helped me start a new life

The Small Boy & his Car

The small boy calmly pulls the broken car.
Never desiring a new one
With Courage and  faith, in sickness and good health
He pulls the car on and on
The car has only one wheel and
the boy only one foot

In a wave on the sea

In a wave on the sea,
A boat goes up and down
like a paper boat
Sounds of the chirpy bird choir fills the air
A butterfly flies above the sea weeds
The waves hit the rocks and play their own orchestra

God is here somewhere near
smiling in each floral bloom
gentle breeze flows from the sea to the land
cooling the hot sandy beach

You are like a Rose
Not yellow,not Pink Nor Red
Yet you presence is like the fragrance of roses

Your touch delicate like its petals
Your smile is like the petals
that spreads cheer and joy
